An empty corridor. Small bursts of cold, pressur- -ized air hiss from cracks in the rows of exposed pipes lining the walls, enveloping the hallway in a thin layer of mist.

At the end of the corridor, a ceiling light in front of the doorway to the CARGO HOLD flickers sporadically, its bulb failing.
